Absence and attendance

Attendance at school is really important for your child's wellbeing, social development and academic progress.

If your child is too unwell to attend school, please call the school office (01274 664661) or send a note as soon as possible.

However, we understand that sometimes children are too ill to be in school. If your child is ill and won't be in school please log their absence using Arbor or by calling the school office before 9am using the links below.

We also encourage parents to make medical and dental appointments out of school time and if these cannot be made out of school hours then we ask for proof of appointments to be shared with the office. Where there are attendance concerns, we will ask parents to provide medical evidence.

Holiday requests during the school term will not be granted. We work closely with the Education Welfare Service to ensure attendance is good for all children. Children with 100% attendance are given certificates in our celebration assemblies each term.
